As most diesel now contains a portion of bio-diesel, under certain storage (i.e. on boats) conditions the growth of bacteria in fuel can be a major problem, with the diesel turning to gel, resulting in the clogging of injectors etc.
By simply installing an ultrasound the unit to the outside of the fuel tank, any bacterial growth can be inhibited.
